I joined SYAB becuaes I wanted to bring awareness about the commonality of struggling with one's mental health as a high schooler. It's not secret that there is a wide amount of stigma surrounding issues with mental health especially for teenagers, as labels like "screen-ager" or "angsty teen" become more prevalent. As a result, I wanted to normalize such struggles by sharing my own story and helping others come to terms with their own concerns of wellbeing. SYAB seemed like the perfect community.
